-If it weren't for school what do you think you would be doing?

If it weren't for school I think I would be at home very bored and forgetting everything that I every learned. I think school is essential to everyone's life. Without school there would be a very small level of intelligence throughout the human society. If I weren't in school right know I don't think that I would have the right level of motivation I needed in order to  live a successful life. I think that some people would be happy to have life without school.

drug dealers

This is a very important issue that isn't always up for conversation. Dealers are making communities very dangerous and unsafe for the youth and everyone around them. I know that there are some people who try to do things in order to get drugs and drug dealers off the street. For example Philadelphia's operation safe street, that is a program that sets a mandatory sentencing for drug dealers. That helps but that program had been in effect since the 1980's. I think if there were more police on the streets that the drug activity wouldn't be as active. This is a very important topic to me because I have family who lives around very dangerous neighborhood and I always find myself being very worried about them. I have brothers who believe that they aren't afraid of anything. That just doesn't stop the fact that something could still happen to them and that the last thing that I would want to happen to them or anyone else.

Clean it up!!!

Why is it that every time i go outside there's trash everywhere? Trash all over the ground and in peoples grass. Some people don't even care what the outside of their house looks like. Do you know that on some blocks you have to recycle and keep you garbage and recycling in you backyard. You will be fined. I think that's the way all blocks should be. Any block can look presentable. If the people who use it and also the people who travel through it would take care of it.I have seen some very attractive blocks but i could go to the very next block over and see a street that looks terrible. I just want to know why the same rules are not enforced. That should be a priority to the mayor. I think that that would benefit a lot of people. That would also make a lot of people feel happy about where they live.

where's the concern?

There are so many abandoned houses/ buildings around my neighborhood. I could count about two on my block alone. I feel like that lowers my neighborhoods value. I don't understand why urban neighborhoods have to deal with that problem. I believe that most suburban neighborhoods attract more interest when it comes to situations in that area. I think that there needs to be something done about the lack of concern. The people in my community would like to live in a nice enviroment and not have to worry about what they look like as a unit. There should be an equal amount of fairness and concern when it comes to the community that the people of philadelphia live in.  I believe that the way your community looks like can affect the way you grow can also affect what type of person you turn out to be.
